Early this semester, Mitch Bresciani came up with the idea of “Teach Nominations”, a professional spin off of “Nek Nominations”, where ideas and understandings are explained and shared with the purpose of teaching and learning. Below is his video explaining his first thoughts about Teach Nominations:

After creating his own Teach Nominations, the idea was passed around to Randi Klassen. Randi created an awesome video in which she nominated myself to do a Teach Nomination. This is her video:

For my Teach Nomination, Randi nominated me to attempt the Balancing Utensils Table Trick. While I was hoping for another math riddle, I was excited to try out this experiment! As you will be able to see in the video below, I was able to perform the experiment successfully!

As part of the Teach Nomination, I get to nominate someone to do an experiment and explain why this happens. I am nominating Sidni Thome! For your Teach Nomination, I want you to attempt to make ice cream in a bag and explain the secret behind adding salt to the ice. Best of luck!
