Music Monday: Learning Project Edition

Hey all, it’s been a while since I have posted to my blog and even longer since I’ve done a Music Monday post. For those who may not know, Music Monday is something I like to do to force myself to blog at least once a week about anything that is happening in my life or about thoughts I feel need to be shared.

The second semester of my third year is well underway now, and for my ECMP 455 class I have decided that for my learning project, I will learn how to play the harmonica! I have wanted to learn how to play the harmonica for a few years now, dreaming of nights around a campfire with the sounds of a harmonica humming and firewood crackling. I was given a harmonica as a christmas gift this past year, and am thrilled about the opportunity I have to learn how to play the harmonica for my learning project.

I will be making videos to document my progress through this journey, as well as blogging about informational sources that I find online.

One of my favourite artists who include the sounds of the harmonica are Angus and Julie Stone. Their song, “Just a Boy”, features a smooth harmonica rip that I want to learn how to play! You will see their song below.
