Music Monday: End of the First Semester

The light / La luz

Crazy, isn’t it? Semester 1 of 8 wrapped up today like christmas presents, giving students the gift of achievement. Before the celebration can really begin, we all need to get through finals first though. December 14th will be my official start of my christmas break before the next semester starts, but until then, I need to remain focused on the task at hand, which is finals. I have a hard time saying “no” to people when they ask me if I want to hang out or do something, which has taken away some valuable time to work on homework and such. But due to how important finals are, I need to keep my eyes on the prize and study study study! It’s not going to be easy, but you gotta do what you gotta do!

It’s been a semester full of ups and downs, but nevertheless, it’s been a steady learning process. There are things I would do differently, such as having better organization and time management to create time for things such as my learning project (which is a whole post on its own, stay tuned). But there are also things I am amazed at. I never would have thought that after one semester I would have known so much about myself as a becoming teacher, and have a philosophy based on several classes this semester such as ECS 100, EPE 100, and ECMP 355. I’m really looking forward to continuing my journey as a becoming teacher.

With that, I wish you all the best of luck with your finals. I hope I see my fellow ECMP 355 classmates around the school and if we’re lucky enough, maybe we’ll have some classes together.

I leave you with a song from one of my favourite rock bands that happens to be Canadian. I have been lucky enough to see them live on two separate occasions and really enjoy their sound. Not to mention the song relates to this post.

This weeks song: Sam Roberts Band – Hard Road
