Music Monday: Calm Before the Storm

Hey everyone, it’s that time of the week again. Something I’ve noticed recently is that my classes aren’t really stressing me out right now. It is weird! It’s been so stressful at times throughout the semester, but it feels different right now. Sure, I still have a math assignment due Thursday and readings to do for English, but it’s not to bad. I think this is a prime example of the “calm before the storm”, meaning school may be slow right not, but it’s going to get increasingly stressful throughout the upcoming weeks.

What do you think? Have you found that your classes have slowed down for the moment, or are you still overwhelmed with assignments? And what do you think your last few weeks of the semester are going to be like leading up to finals?

This weeks song is one that I found a few weeks ago and have been wanting to post it for you to enjoy, but I waited till the time was right. That time is now. I love love love love love this song. I think it’s extremely well put together, and it simply sounds beautiful to the ear. I wish there were more songs like this out there. There are a couple different versions of this song, so I will post my top two versions of it. Also, if you’re a fan of dance, I think you will enjoy the video that goes along with the first video.

This week’s song:
Of Porcelain – Signal The Captain

  1. nice choice in song! I am in the exact same spot. It was actually kind of creepy to read your blog (the thoughts being so similar to my own). I feel totally in control right now, as compared to last week where I was a big messy ball of stress. Maybe it’s the mustache I’m growing, maybe it’s the calm before the storm, but maybe, just maybe, everything is OK and on track.

Let’s hope thats the case and that things will continue this way into exams.

  2. Haha ditto to what Dan said…although I’ve seen his mustache and it makes me a tad depressed about the 13 hairs above my lip.

  3. Haha I’ve been doing Movembeard- similar to Movember, except I’m growing out my mustache and beard. I had to shave my neck the other day though, it was getting a bit to crazy. I grew out my beard for two months this spring and it turned out pretty good. This time around it’s growing in faster and thicker. My plan is to grow it out from November 1- January 1, might keep it for longer than that. I’m going to start taking a picture of it once a week to show the progress.

  4. I totally agree with the “calm before the storm”. I’ve been feeling a lot less stressed, but I just know what’s to come! O well, I keep telling myself only 3 more weeks!
